Why Consider Antigua & Barbuda Citizenship?

The Antigua & Barbuda Citizenship by Investment program is established and particularly designed with families in mind. The second passport enables visa-free or simplified access to numerous countries in Europe, the Caribbean, and selected Asian financial centers. In addition, there are no permanent residence, language, or education requirements.

Strong Global Mobility

Visa-free or simplified access to around 150+ countries, including the UK, the Schengen Area, and Russia. A notable feature: Antigua & Barbuda is the only Caribbean passport with visa-free access to South Africa.

Tax Exposure

With tax residency in Antigua & Barbuda, there are no taxes on capital gains, inheritances, wealth, or gifts. Foreign income is also not taxed if it is not economically generated in the country.

Family-Oriented Program

A main applicant can include close family members in the application. This includes the spouse, children — biological or adopted — up to age 30, parents aged 55 and over, and siblings of any age.

Strategic Classification

Antigua & Barbuda is often used as a family-oriented standard solution in the Caribbean CBI market. It is suitable for applicants looking for a balanced second passport with solid mobility and clear conditions — not for purely tactical or short-term optimization.

How Do You Obtain Antigua & Barbuda Citizenship by Investment?

Under the official Citizenship by Investment program, there are two ways to meet the requirements: either through a non-refundable donation of at least 250,000 USD to the National Development Fund or through an investment of at least 300,000 USD in a government-approved real estate project.

Investment Options

To qualify, one of the following three routes can be chosen:

  • Non-refundable donation to the National Development Fund in the amount of 250,000 USD
  • Investment in an approved real estate project with a minimum value of 300,000 USD (minimum holding period: 5 years)
  • Donation of 260,000 USD to the University of the West Indies

Note: Caribbean citizenship programs have been under increased international pressure for some time, particularly from the EU and the United States. Further tightening of requirements and adjustments to investment amounts cannot be ruled out in the future.
